JAPAN KARATE ASSOCIATION

History about JKA Campsie

We started our Karate journey under my father, Joel Narvaez who has well over 40 years of Shotokan Karate Experience in the midst of his hometown Baguio, Philippines.

In 2008, Sensei Joel opened his dojo under KUA (Karate Union of Australia) in Campsie Public School. His Son, Joeceph Narvaez also started his karate journey at the age of 11.

Later on, Sensei Joel and Joeceph deepened their understanding of Shotokan Karate through teaching and learning from their students from all ages.

The heart of JKA Campsie isn't about trophies, rank, money, attendance etc. What really matters is making everlasting friendships from students to instructors that we all have one goal in common...

To seek perfection of character.

At the end of the day, it's the respect from each other will prolong your and everyone's karate journey.
